NSC |
An LLC formed by Varsity Contractors, Inc. of Pocatello, Idaho and FBG of Omaha, Nebraska, two prominent Facility Service Contractors in the Industry. The company was formed for the purpose to provide Property Management of Services for Qwest in fourteen states. Qwest was able to reduce their exposure from over 2000 service providers down to one exclusive provider, NSC. They also combined multiple services to one provider, such as landscape maintenance, snow removal, plant maintenance, janitorial related services. Qwest was able to leverage the volume of work and reduction of paper work and accountability for millions of dollars in saving. Because of the unique relationship between NSC and Qwest, they were able to achieve best practices in ongoing quality assurance results, financial productivity, and ease and effectiveness of the management of these services. NSC utilizes the excellent services of the two partner companies, subcontracts to over 3000 other small businesses and subcontracts at between 30-40% to minority and women owned companies. NSC has a top management staff, state of the art management techniques, reporting, and metric measurements to manage other potential national or regional accounts.

The National Service Alliance (NSA) is comprised of the "best of the best" building service providers in North America, owned by seven (7) leaders in the industry, Varsity Contractors, Inc. as one of the managing partners. With these Managing Partners, the NSA sets the standards for high-quality, cost-effective facility solutions while maintaining "hands-on" management. With combined revenues in excess of $ .5 billion, over 30,000 employees, and combined 230 years of experience, the NSA leads the industry with cutting edge technology and innovative solutions.
In addition to the owners, the NSA supports twenty-two (22) associate members strategically located across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Associates range from small to medium size privately owned building service providers that are committed to the standards set by the NSA with certified training programs, award winning safety programs and professional affiliations with industry associations such as BSCAI, BOMA, IFMA, IWCA, NSC and ASIS.
Although the NSA focuses on serving regional and national companies with owner occupied, industrial and third party facilities, the owners and associates have a variety of niche markets that they pursue including, sport venues, malls, medical, private education and public facilities such as airports. Ancillary services offered vary by location and include such specialties as metal restoration and Cleanroom services.

Nuvek is a company initiated to capture and harness the technology power that Varsity and its partners created within the building services industry.
Nuvek's Software Division drives a powerful mid-frame accounting system that Varsity and other contractors use to support their complex operations. In addition, Nuvek develops and markets its state-of-the-art quality assurance and work order software used by building services and facility managers to help make the operations more efficient and sound (http://www.vektr.com).
Nuvek's Technical Services Division provides high-end technical leadership and support with networks, servers and office applications for professional firms in southern Idaho. The highly trained technicians manage the information technology needs for dozens of accounting, engineering, medical and other firms that require high levels of reliability.

System 1 is a certified minority owned company with Robert Garcia Sr. as President and majority owner. Varsity is a minority owner in the company and provides expertise, mentoring, and support services to the company. System 1 is capable of providing excellent services to large and small companies. Some of its present customers include Qwest, Batelle International, Washington Mutual Banks.

BSCAI |
Formed in March 1965, BSCAI is a trade association for the building service contracting industry with more than 2,000 member companies, including membership from 39 foreign countries. BSCAI represents companies who provide cleaning, building maintenance and other related services to building owners and managers. The association supports its members through providing training, education and outreach and represents the building service contracting industry worldwide.
Varsity has been active in BSCAI since 1974 and its leaders and managers attend annually various seminars, conventions and trade shows. They also serve on the board of directors and various committees. Varsity's President and CEO, Arlo D. Luke has served on the board of directors for three terms and served in 1997 as the President of the Building Service Contractors Association International.
